Morpurgo Monthly Snapshot - September 2024

Wow! What a fantastic start to Year 6 we have had.  The children have all settled in so brilliantly and are taking on the extra challenges set for them in Year 6.  In Art, the children rose to the challenge of being sculptors and making wire sculpture animals in the style of Alexander Calder who invented the mobile. 
We have also learned lots about electricity and enjoyed making circuits and investigating how the number of batteries in a circuit effects the brightness of the bulbs!  Also, we have loved writing gory descriptions of the beast in our class book Beowulf.  Watch out in next month's update for some super examples of our writing!
